Described as George Winston meets Yo-Yo Ma, the piano/cello duo of “MacRaven” brings their combination lyric cello lines intertwined with New-Age piano sonorities to two April events.

Award-winning composer and Bostwick Lake Church Music Director, Roger MacNaughton, teams with Grand Rapids Symphony cellist, Steve VanRavenswaay, on Sunday, April 12 at the 10:30 a.m. Easter Service at Bostwick Lake Church located at 7979 Belding Road.

One week later on Sunday, April 19, the duo performs in support of the Grand Rapids Public Schools’ fundraiser “Arts Jam.”  In addition to MacRaven, the benefit concert includes performances by Marvin Sapp, Lazy Blue Tunas, Michelle Covington, Potato Moon, and Steve Talaga and is hosted is Gerry Barnaby.

Tickets for the afternoon are $20 for adults and $5 for children and are available by calling (616) 819-2156.  The concert begins at 2:00 p.m. followed by an art auction with food and beverage reception
at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center located at 600 Forest Hills Avenue.  Parking is free.
