Congressman Vernon J. Ehlers has nominated two students from Rockford for consideration by U.S. Service Academies. The nominees will be considered for acceptance into the 2013 class of the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Students who desire to apply to U.S. Service Academies must receive a congressional nomination to be considered for acceptance, and nominees are not guaranteed admission. The nomination is a requirement of the application process at each academy.
“I am pleased and honored to nominate these exceptional students for consideration by U.S. Service Academies,” said Congressman Ehlers. “I offer these future leaders the best of luck in the application process to attend these prestigious academies.”
Tyler Carlson of Rockford was nominated for the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. Trevor Holloway of Rockford was nominated for the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
