The public is cordially invited to share in a special service honoring Jesus Christ in the wrestling career of Jason Brew at Crossfire Ministries on Sunday, May 3.
Brew had an outstanding high school wrestling career at Sparta High School, where he became the state champion in his weight class in both his junior and senior years. He went onto wrestle at Olivet College, where he achieved the following accomplishments: two-time NCAA All American, two-time national finalist, held the school record of 177 takedowns in his senior season, All American scholar, 134 career wins, two-time Mid-States Conference wrestler of the year, two-time Ohio Northern University Invitational Outstanding Wrestler and three-time champion, two-time Wheaton Invitational Champion, and Wrestler of the Year.
Brew has used his wrestling ability to create a platform to share his faith in Jesus Christ. He has wrestled in Siberia, Moscow, China, Mongolia and Central Asia with Athletes in Action. He and his father Lance will share their testimonies at the 10:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday, May 3 at Crossfire Ministries. Crossfire is located in the meeting room adjacent to the MVP Health Club on the northeast corner of Wolverine Blvd./Northland Dr. and 10 Mile Road in Rockford. A DVD will be shown of Brew’s wrestling career. Pastor Keith Hemmila will conclude the service with a message entitled “Heaven’s Award Ceremony.” Food and refreshments will be served in the foyer after the service.
