Danny Froumis birthday celebration.

Most nine year olds can’t wait to rip off the wrapping and see if they received all the gifts they dreamed of for their birthday. Danny Froumis, a Crestwood Elementary third grade student, decided he’d rather have his birthday donated to Relay For Life. Froumis asked that money that would have gone to gifts instead be donated to Relay and raised $155. The party had a Relay For Life  theme, complete with scavenger hunt, paddleboat races, pie-eating contest, an Easter egg hunt, and a buried coin hunt. Froumis’ mother, Holly, is very proud of her son and couldn’t be happier at this story of self-sacrifice and thinking of others.
