On Thursday, May 7, Cathy’s Hallmark held a first of its kind-Ladies Night. Women enjoyed 20 percent off everything in the store, were invited to sample Gillham and Grand candy, Wind and Willow dips, a delicious cake supplied by Arnies and cookies donated by D&W.

As the ladies shopped and snacked, they also registered to win prizes. The grand prize was a packet of gift certificates and was won by long-time customer Donna Brinks of Rockford. She has been a loyal customer and friend for 21 years. She recalled that in the beginning she shopped at Cathy’s Hallmark for her Precious Moments collectibles. The gift certificates were from Hungry Howies, Kimberly’s Boutique, Bowdacious, Great Northern Trading Company, Gensis Salon, Right at Home and Baskets in the Belfry.

Kathy Barr, store manager, said the staff at Cathy’s was very pleased with the excellent turn out and hopes to make Ladies Night an annual event.
