Lady Rams to defend state title

Rockford’s varsity girls water polo team is ranked sixth in the state this year. Ann Arbor Pioneer has soundly defeated the Lady Rams three straight this season, and have at least three players heading on to play Division I college.

Rockford girls will defend their state title against Ann Arbor Pioneer in the first round of the Michigan Water Polo Association championship at Jenison High School Natatorium at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, May 29. Come on out and cheer for the Lady Rams!

Hudsonville will play against Saline at 4 p.m., East Grand Rapids against Okemos at 5:15 p.m., and West Ottawa against Ann Arbor Huron at 6:30 p.m. The four teams that win will continue on to the semifinals, and those two winners will play for the state title.
