A U12 boys team from the Soccer Club of Rockford (SCOR) traveled to Canton, Mich. over the Memorial Day weekend to participate in the 27th annual Canton Cup tournament. The team won four games, besting squads from Ann Arbor, Farmington Hills, Sterling Heights, and Royal Oak to capture the championship in their bracket. The boys stayed focused and put forth a great effort to bring home a trophy. The SCOR U12 boys team is comprised of (front, l-r) Joel Pietila, DeJour Denhof, Trevor Smith, Nick Stellin, Austin Garnsay, Peter Manett; (back) Coach Chris Haid, Jon Shaw, Noah Fedorchuk, Danny Waite, Daniel Haid, Matt Long, David Newberger, and Coach Steve Manett.
