Host families are responsible for providing meals, a place to sleep and a nurturing and safe environment. The STS Foundation places a large emphasis on supporting host families and will have a local representative who will maintain monthly contact with the family. The students are proficient in English and must maintain satisfactory academic progress while in school here.

There are over 200 students to choose from. One student is Martina, 17, from Milan, Italy. She lives with her parents and two older brothers. Martina has eight years of English and French, and her favorite hobbies are golf, jogging, meeting friends and playing volleyball. She is an A student in school, and doesn’t have any allergies.
