Rockford High School girls water polo Head Coach Al Reickard recently announced that eight players on the varsity team were honored as Academic All State players. Reikhard also noted, “The varsity post-season team went on to qualify for Academic All American as a group. There are three levels:  gold, silver and bronze. We qualified for the top honor of gold with a collective team GPA of 3.848.”

The post-season team included the following players:  co-captain Beattie, junior Natalie Beeg, sophomore Taylor Downs, Elenbaas, Gremel, sophomore Lauren Hulsebus, Johnson, co-captain Keeley, senior Rachel Marshall, Nauta, co-captain Wooldridge, Weston, freshman Casey Wolfer, and co-captain Vermeer.

Special thanks goes to Coach Reikhard, who will be stepping down from his position next season. His leadership and expertise will be greatly missed.
