Rockford Farm Market-8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through October 31, in the South Squires Street parking lot, off Main St., downtown Rockford, featuring Michigan-grown produce, fresh baked goods, flowers and plants.

Rogue River Artists Association 5th Annual Garden Art Sale/Show-11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the home of Shirley Dean, 9620 Summit, Rockford (look for signs). Members’ artwork will be on display and for sale, featuring watercolors, acrylics, oils, mixed media, pottery, woodcarvings and jewelry. Yard Sale and Bake Sale-8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 7711 Young Ave. NE, Rockford, to benefit Rockford Scout Venture Crew 2228.

Pig Roast-5 to 7 p.m. at the Heritage Methodist Church, 19931 W. Kendaville Rd. (corner of old 131), Pierson, sponsored by Friends of the Timothy Hauenstien Township Library. Cost is $7.50 for adults; $3 for children under 10. Tickets available at the library or at the door; all proceeds benefit the library.

Annual Mentoring Youth Range Day-registration at 9:30 a.m.; shooting begins at 10 a.m. Young people will be mentored in different shooting venues that the Rockford Sportsman’s Club offers, including BB gun, 22 rifle, archery, skeet, pistol, trap and cowboy shooting. Free Food for Needy Families-5 p.m. in the Mobile Food Pantry at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 6070 Kuttshill Drive (corner of Northland Drive and Rogue River Rd.; entrance on Kuttshill), Rockford, providing free food for needy families in the North Kent community. Summer Pet Show-2 p.m. at Krause Memorial Library, 140 E. Bridge St., Rockford. If you think your pet is cute, talented, smart, funny or special in another way, then enter it in the Summer Pet Show!
