Rogers – Rich

Geralyn and Rick Barker of Rockford and Scot and Toni Rich of Sparta announce the engagement of their son, Josh Rich, to Sarah Rogers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Rogers of Grand Rapids. Proud grandparents are Nancy Van Lopik of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. David Laux of Belding, and Dorothy Martin of Traverse City.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Calvin Christian High School, and has earned a BA from Grand Valley State University and ADN from Grand Rapids Community College. She is currently employed by Spectrum Health.

The groom elect is a 1999 graduate of Rockford High School and is currently employed by Thornapple Excavating Inc.

The couple is planning an August 29 wedding ceremony at Lake Leelanau, Mich., with a honeymoon in St. Lucia. Best man will be James Ford and maid of honor will be Abby Harrison.

The couple will reside in Grand Rapids.



Smith – Huizinga

 A September 19, 2009, wedding is being planned by Patricia Ann Smith and David Lee Huizinga. Parents of the couple are Kathrin Smith of Hudsonville and Richard and Teresa Huizinga of Rockford. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Northwood of Florida and Davenport University. The groom-elect is a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College.







Torsky – Boscarino

 Paul and Susan Boscarino of Rockford and John and Dana Torsky of Cedarville, Mich. announce the engagement of their children Tony Boscarino and Jessica Torsky.

Jessie is a graduate of Cedarville High School and Central Michigan University. She has taught at-risk youth through experiential education while completing a two-year Bible school.

Tony graduated from Rockford High School and Central Michigan University. He has been serving as a worship leader and associate pastor for His House Campus Ministry in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.

The couple met while serving in campus ministry at Central Michigan University, and are pursuing a career in Christian ministry together. An outdoor September wedding is planned, with a honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico.
