Curtis

Mrs. Lillian L. Curtis, age 95, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009, in Apache Junction, Ariz., where she was living with her daughter.

Although born in Henderson County, Ky., she lived many years in Rockford, and was a former member of Bostwick Lake Congregational Church.

Lillian is survived by her children, Shirley Getzen of Rockford, Charles and Martica Hershman of Victorville, Calif., Mrs. Juanita Webb of Carrizo Springs, Texas, Marjory and Robert Shier of Rockford, Evelyn Curtis of Apache Junction, Ariz., Ralph and Dorothy Curtis of Jenison, Gary and Kathy Curtis of Sand Lake, Dora Sue Jackson and Al and Phyllis Curtis, all of Kalamazoo; 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many, many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Curtis; her daughters, Rosalee Gravelle and Mary Ann Steinke; her grandchildren, Audrey Joy Horrigan, Jean Poll, and Tony Curtis; her brother, Carlos Dodson; and her sister, Virginia Enright.

The service for Mrs. Curtis will be Friday, September 11, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Pederson Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Hubbard officiating. Those desiring an expression of sympathy may consider North Kent Service Center, 10075 Northland Dr., Rockford, MI 49341.

Arrangements were made by Pederson Funeral Home, Rockford.
