Don’t talk to strangers, just look

HF-mime2

Kevin Tomasunas, 19 months, doesn’t know what to make of OPUS Mime (Michael Lee). Keeping a safe distance, he must surely be thinking, “Are you for real?” On the first Saturday of Harvest Fest, Kevin stood transfixed for 20 minutes while deciding to come a little closer to the mime extraordinaire or turn and run away as fast as his little legs would carry him. As it turned out, he never moved. More Harvest Festival fun is coming, see inside.

  1. Just a little correction: Kevin was there, experiencing what his own young mind could. I was deeply touched by his presence, and focused on being gentle in my movements so as not to instill any fear at all. It was my privilege for him to join me, and am humbled that my stillness may have inspired this encounter. Those that watched were treated to a rare, sincere moment.
