Kent Humane Society announces new hours

Beginning the week of October 11, the Humane Society of Kent County (HSKC) will have new hours of operation for the public. The adjustment in hours is to better serve the animals and the public.

HSKC will now be open an extra day each week—Monday. On Wednesdays, HSKC will be open until 4 p.m. For individuals who are unable to visit during the day, HSKC still offers evening hours three days a week.

The new public hours for animal adoptions and animal admitting are: Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m., and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 7 p.m. (closed Sundays). If you need to bring an animal to the Humane Society, stray or owned, please call (616) 453-8900 extension 216 to schedule an appointment. Animal admitting and owner-requested euthanasia is by appointment only. Lost-and-found and adoption services are on a walk-in basis. HSKC is located at 3077 Wilson NW, Grand Rapids.

If you have any additional questions about the new hours of operation, please call (616) 453-8900. For further information, visit www.hskc.org.
