Win a free breakfast or lunch at Peppermill Grill

Nick Wawee owner of the Peppermill Grill, Rockford’s popular breakfast and lunch diner, is thinking ‘outside the box’ – the drop box that is.

In a joint venture with North Kent Service Center (NKSC), the Peppermill Grill is accepting foodstuff donations until Thursday, November 12. Groceries collected will be included in Thanksgiving baskets distributed by NKSC to the area’s less fortunate by circumstance. Following November 12 and until Thursday, December 10, new toys will be accepted to be included in Christmas gift distributions by NKSC.

As a thank-you to restaurant patrons who make donations Wawee will randomly award three Peppermill Grill gift certificates for each of the two collections. This is a win-win for everyone. Restaurant diners enjoy a great meal and in their donations afford a traditional Thanksgiving meal or toys for Christmas to a family in need.

For the uninitiated, Rockford’s best-kept secret – The Peppermill Grill – is located at the north end of the Rockford Farm Market parking lot (South Squires St. parking lot). Register your donations with Fern or Nickole at the restaurant.
