Fifth annual pumpkin carving party

PumpkinParty2

Saturday October 24th marked the date for the Annual Pumpkin carving party at the Platt Family home in downtown Rockford. “This was our best turnout yet, with a total of 37 pumpkins carved and 62 guests in attendance”. “The best part of the party is lighting the pumpkins and admiring all the creative work, especially from the kids”. We don’t give out prizes for the best carved pumpkins, but we may add this to next years event. It’s a great way to get the families together for a common holiday tradition of carving pumpkins.

PumpkinParty1Ken Platt made some of his delicious chili and friends and neighbors brought treats to share.

Even with tough economic times we can still get together for some inexpensive fun.
