People of all ages will enjoy the Norman Rockwell-like evening of ceremony that marks the holidays in downtown Rockford. Mark your calendar for Wednesday, November 18 at 6 p.m. to enjoy music, speeches and the “flipping of the switches” that turn on downtown’s holiday lighting. The event takes place by the dam at Peppler Park. Pictured at last year’s event is Robin with daughters Lauren and Leah.

RHS-choirNine Rockford High School choir students recently auditioned for the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (MSVMA) Honors Choir, and all nine were selected. The auditions for this prestigious vocal group required each vocalist to sing their part individually on both a specific piece of choral repertoire and a short sight-reading selection. The Rockford choir students selected to participate in the MSVMA Honors Choir are Bretton Johnson, Scott Nadeau, Gabe Reitemeier, Matt Ciejka, Kaili Morse, Jessi Harris, Marisa Bouwkamp, Emily Kolenda, and Katie Ary.
