Assumption BVM boys take first in basketball tournament

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball team took first place in the 2009 7/8-Grade Boys Basketball Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 19 at Assumption BVM School. After winning three straight games, the Assumption BVM boys battled for their fourth win—the championship—against St. Paul’s team. At the half, the score was 24-12, Assumption, and at the end of the third quarter it was 32-22, Assumption. The final score was 46-38, with Assumption claiming the victory.

Assumption’s cheerleaders were also in attendance, cheering on their team.
