The holiday season is over and Rockford fans were ready for some good old-fashioned basketball on Tuesday night, January 5. The Lady Rams did not disappoint, giving their loyal following one more Christmas present, a gift-wrapped 55-42 win over the Bulldogs from Grandville. The win extends the Rams’ season to 7-0, 2-0 in the OK Red conference.

The Rams and Coach Jessica Yonkers continued their tenacious defense, forcing the Bulldogs into shots away from the basket. The Rams’ offense was provided leadership from seniors Megan Kelley (15 points) and Caitlyn Patterson (13).

The Lady Rams continued their unselfish style of team basketball by sharing the ball and with pin-point passing.

Grandville (2-4, 0-2 OK Red) was led by senior Kara Hess with 13 points, two field goals and 9 for 10 from the line.
