REF holds successful zumba party at the annual fitness fair

The Rockford Education Foundation (REF) would like to thank everyone who participated in the Zumba fundraiser during the Health and Fitness Festival. Approximately 75 people filled the gym at North Rockford Middle School to participate in the Zumba instruction for a solid 75 minutes. Music filled the air as participants joined in with the instructors. The REF raised $1000 which will go to benefit our schools and community in the coming year. To date the REF has awarded over $800,000 in grants for educational purposes to the Rockford community.

The Rockford Education Foundation would like to thank the following individuals and businesses for their silent auction and giveaway donations which lead to a successful event: Bev Thiel and Kelly Wass of YMCA, Maureen McKay of Eastern Floral and Gifts

Genesis Salon and Day Spa, Angela Mann of Hampton Inn Suites, Tip off Bar and Grill, Carrie Yandl of Arbonne, Pat and Lisa Harig, Karla Galvin , Niah Whitley and Natalie Maj

Additionally we would like to thank the instructors who participated:
