In loving memory of our beautiful baby girl, Jessica Grace Soupal, who passed away seven years ago on March 29, 2003.
Millions of tears fall to the ground,
And yet… they make no sound.
My heart still aching for a sound,
…Any sound from you.
A laugh, a cry, your first word,
Any sound would do.
And yet the only thing we ever heard,
Was silence from you.
No pitter-patter of your feet,
No crying did we hear.
No screaming when you were ready to eat,
No “ma-ma” or “da-da” in our ear.
…Just silence, like a falling tear.
Oh, we would give anything to have you here.
