Youngsters tour Squire office

Two groups of young people stopped by the Squire office this spring to learn about communication and literacy. A Rockford Public Schools preschool class (below) visited on March 12 and the Valley View Tigers pack 3264 Cub Scouts (above) visited March 24. Both groups of children learned about how the newspaper business has changed over the years and saw equipment and from The Squire (then the Rockford Register) from over 100 years ago. You can tell what smart youngsters they are as they are as they read their local paper.
