“Babies” Movie Night Fundraiser—7 p.m. at Celebration Cinema North, to benefit Cradles of Grace Inc., a nonprofit Christian extended care pregnancy support organization. Annual Two-Day Yard Sale—9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Hope Community Church, 7000 Myers Lake Avenue, Rockford. All proceeds are to benefit the Outreach Ministries of the church.

Rogue River Clean-Up—9 a.m. in parking lot behind Chase Bank, downtown Rockford. Picnic afterward at Richardson-Sowerby Park. Organized by Central Rockford Neighborhood Association.

31st Annual Arts & Crafts Festival—9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at John Ball Park, 1300 W. Fulton, Grand Rapids. Admission is free.

Auditions—10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, and 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 17, at Master Arts Theatre, 75 77th St. SW, Grand Rapids, for Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man.” Needed are five men and four women for 16 performances from Sept. 16 to Oct. 9.

Roast Beef Dinner—11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at VFW Post 3946, located at 4195 Thirteen Mile Road, Rockford. Cost is $8 for adults; $3 for children.

Community Concert—3 p.m. at Rockford High School’s Fine Arts Auditorium. Music will be performed by the Community Band, Community Orchestra and Community Choir. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Free Food for Needy Families—5 p.m. at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 6070 Kuttshill Drive, Rockford, with a Mobile Food Pantry providing free food for needy families in the North Kent community. For more information, call the church at (616) 866-1556.

Free Flyfishing Workshop—6:30 to 9 p.m. at Izaak Walton League, 5641 Myers Lake Rd., half mile north of Cannonsburg Ski Area. Learn the basics of casting, with tips of flies and techniques. Grand Rapids Symphony Performs with Rockford Wind Ensemble—7 p.m. at Rockford High School’s Fine Arts Auditorium. Each ensemble will perform separately before combining to perform “Jupiter” and “Mars” from Holst’s work “The Planets,” and the fourth movement from Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Admission is free. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
