YMCA hits homerun with After Hours networking

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME—The Wolverine World Wide Family YMCA is the host of the most recent Rockford Chamber After Hours event held Monday, May 10. Local business people enjoyed a ballpark theme and dined on hotdogs, peanuts and pop before listening to a short presentation by YMCA Director Bev Thiel. On hand were YMCA officials and board members. Thiel talked about the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign, and spoke about statistics linking exercise and fitness. She pointed out that in addition to the YMCA’s 4,800 family memberships, the organization also partners with corporations and small businesses by offering membership opportunities.
