Many area Memorial Day Services were cancelled due to severe weather. In Belmont, the show went on, despite a deluge that began minutes after the 2 p.m. event began. Rockford and Belmont received the worst of the flooding after five inches fell in about an hour.

Childsdale Avenue suffered severe damage after flooding water tore down its path. The road was unsafe after the severe storms of Memorial Day 2010.
