Rams golf team finish second at district

The Rockford Rams boys golf team didn’t slide through districts by one shot this year. The Rams finished second at the District competition on Thursday, May 27 and had a 26 shot cushion.

At Stonegate Golf Club in Twin Lakes, MI, Muskegon High School hosted the District I competition. The Rams finished second to Forest Hills Central with three Rams medaling. Trent Davison went home with a District Championship after defeating Jared Dalga (FHC) in a three-hole sudden death playoff.  Trent’s 70 (-2) lead the way and was supported by Sam Gallup’s 72, Steven Mette’s 77, and Jake Chaffee’s 81.

The Rams travel to El Dorado Golf Course in Holt for the Regional tournament on Thursday, June 3.
