McDaniel earns prestigious Scout rank

Tyler McDaniel, a 2009 graduate of Rockford High School, attended his Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony on May 14. He earned the prestigious Scout rank in September 2009. To earn this honorable rank, McDaniel built a set of benches for the Veterans Home cemetery in Grand Rapids.

McDaniel’s Scouting career began in Pack 3264 as a Cub Scout. He complemented his career with Troop 264 and has earned 31 merit badges, along with completing all six levels of advancement to Eagle rank.

McDaniel and his family also attended the Eagle Scout recognition dinner in February. This event recognized 209 of the 2009 newly ranked Eagle Scouts. This year is the 100th year of Scouting and was a very memorable event for all newly raked Eagles. McDaniel would like to thank all the Scouts, leaders and friends who have helped him with his journey to Eagle rank.
