Rockford blood donors continue to save lives

Michigan Blood recently announced the results for September’s blood drive at the Rockford Community Cabin, including milestone donations by Rockford-area donors.

At the monthly event, 68 people signed in and 54 units of blood were donated. This generous donation of blood means that 162 lives were saved. Among donors was one first-time donor. Rockford-area donors who reached milestone donations were the following:

• Steven Gladu, 5 gallons

• Deborah Neson, 2 gallons

• Kathleen Powell, 2 gallons

• Laura Robinson, 3 gallons

• Barbara Rodebeck, 2 gallons

• Timothy Rood, 1 gallon
