Mayor ‘Chi Chi’ Rogers to speak at North Kent Toastmasters open house

North Kent Community Toastmasters is pleased to announce that Rockford Mayor Janiece “Chi Chi” Rogers will be keynote speaker at the club’s open house on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event, which will take place at Prudential Preferred Realtors, 502 Northland Dr. NE (at 11 Mile Rd.), Rockford.

The open house provides an opportunity for members of the community to learn about Toastmasters and how it can help those who are interested in learning effective communication skills to build self-confidence and interpersonal relationships. Guests have an opportunity to learn about the club and ask questions of the mayor. Rogers is a former Toastmaster.

Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP at (616) 560-4726, but walk-ins are welcome as well.

North Kent Community Toastmasters chapter #3442 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month, from 7 to 8:45 p.m., at Prudential Preferred Realtors in Rockford. The chapter website is www.nkctm.org.
