NRMS cross-country teams take first, second

North Rockford Middle School (NRMS) girls cross-country team member, Maja Hill, is about to cross the finish line in first place on Sept. 22 at an OK Red dual meet hosted by Byron Center Middle School. Participating were middle school boys and girls teams from Byron Center, Holland Christian, NRMS, and West Ottawa. After breaking free of the pack of 64 girls at the start of the race, Hill led the entire two-mile distance, crossing the finish line with a time of 13:52. The constantly improving NRMS teams had a great afternoon. The boys team took first place and the girls took second place.
