Cheerleaders bring good luck to athletes

All the games these girls have cheered for have been won by Rockford, with the exception of one game being a 0-0 score. It is widely felt that these girls have been the good luck charms. They are (front row, l–r) Emilee Glass, Ally Patin, Tensey Gavalis, Bridget Lass, Hannah Stinson; (back row) Amanda Eslinger, Taylor Blackburn, Coach Allie Hite, Katie Montroy, Ellie Sims; (not pictured) “manager mom” Courtney Blackburn. Most of the girls have been cheering for Rocket Cheer since 2007. Each year they are coached by a current high school cheerleader. This year, freshman Allie Hite has volunteered her time to coach this team.
