Law firm has long roots in Rockford

Justice may be blind but at Wolven and Coonen, PLLC, located at 6250 Jupiter Avenue in Belmont, every client is treated with equal respect and attention and ‘’each matter is given our best”. The general practice law firm members, Edmond R. Wolven and Rose A. Coonen, are inspired by a desire to provide quality legal service in the area in which they have always resided. They believe clients appreciate high quality service without the hustle and bustle of a large firm.

Ed, Patti, Rose, and Bobbi.

Senior attorney Ed Wolven has been providing legal services in private practice for over 54 years. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Schools of L S & A, 1953 and Law, 1956. Rose Coonen, partner, is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and attained her Juris Doctor degree from Cooley Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Assisting are Bobbi Barnes as associate attorney and Patti Sargent as legal secretary. Bobbi received her undergraduate degree from Davenport University and her Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School. Bobbi took top honors when she graduated from Cooley Law School, Cum Laude. Both Rose and Bobbi worked for Ed during their tenure in law school. While Ed’s practice includes working on a wide variety of legal matters, he recently has been spending more and more time working with seniors in the areas of probate/elder law, wills and estate planning and business organization and management. Ed is an experienced lecturer speaking on “Elizabethzan Who Dunnit” (who is the author) and “The Illegal Trial of Christ.”

Rose’s emphasis is on bankruptcy law, estate planning, family law and corporate law. Bobbi, like Rose, is a skilled and knowledgeable attorney who is friendly and attuned to the community. All three lawyers strive to offer services expected from a large firm but with a hometown feel. “Challenges are as varied as could be found anywhere,” said Rose of the scope of issues confronted. “Here our clients are treated like real people, not just names on files. If you have a legal problem or think you have need of an attorney, give us a try. Our fees are reasonable and competitive and we get the job done with attention to you personally”!

The team at Wolven and Coonen is proud to offer friendly smiles with legal advice and pride themselves as a provider of services to real people who deserve the best possible legal assistance. As a general practice law firm they can address near all legal needs, including corporate law, bankruptcy, wills and probates, divorce, drunk driving defense, elder law, and negligence.

The practice location is easily accessed from Rockford, Cedar Springs and Grand Rapids. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or other hours by appointment. The firm has a phone number of (616) 608-8088 and an E-mail address of www.wolvenandcoonen.com
