The eighth Annual Bridges Event and Dinner will be Sunday, March 27. The Wolverine World Wide Family YMCA, located at 6555 Jupiter Ave. NE in Belmont, will again be opening their facilities to the public
to host a potluck lunch at 1 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to pass that represents their racial-ethnic heritage.
New this year will be a Resource Fair featuring community service and support organizations like Children’s Health Insurance. There will also be entertainment, crafts and activities to celebrate diversity.
Then, from 4 to 6 p.m., the YMCA will offer free open recreation including swimming.
Please call (616) 363-3000 to register ahead of time to help in the planning. “At the door” registrations will be taken as well. The Rockford Diversity Committee hopes everyone will take advantage of this free, fun, family-friendly event.
