JDRF to benefit from concert named for Rockford grad

Frames Unlimited is proud to present Jake’s Music Festival. This seven-year-old event is a benefit concert for the local chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The show will take place at the Wealthy Theatre on April 16. Several local bands are donating their time to this great cause. Featured performers include AB & Coconut Brown, Igby Iris, Chance Jones, The Fainting Generals, Paucity, and Karisa Wilson. Because of the generous event sponsors, this year’s concert will again be free. Donations to JDRF will be accepted. There will also be a silent auction.

Jake’s Music Festival was started by Tom and Mary Scheidel of Rockford and named for their son Jake who was diagnosed with type one diabetes, also known as juvenile diabetes, 14 years ago when he was only six. So bring the family and bring your friends. It will be a night of great music for a great cause. All proceeds help fund research into a cure for diabetes.
