Carole and Tom Van Dam took a copy of the Rockford Squire newspaper with them on their recent trip to South Africa. Pictured are Tom and their son, Derek (a RHS graduate) who lives in Cape Town. The picture was taken March 13 at Chapman’s Peak overlooking Hout Bay in the Cape Peninsula while participating in the Cape Argus Bicycle Tour. The Cape Argus Bicycle Tour is the largest bicycle race in the world with up to 35,000 people participating.
