Rockford graduate and student/athlete Brain Fischer recently committed to run track at Michigan State University (MSU) next spring. He plans to study physiology at MSU, with the hopes of later attending graduate school. He is slated to run any events from the 100 to the 400 and the 4×1 and 4×4 relay teams at MSU.
The MSU coach was at the MHSAA state meet and heard that Fischer was running with mononucleosis and was so impressed that he spoke with Fischer shortly after and offered him a spot on the MSU track roster. Fischer’s best time in the 100-meter dash was 10.7 and the 200 was 21.8, which were run at the regional track meet.
