Rockford volleyball begins season on top

The Rockford Lady Rams Volleyball team started 1-0 in the OK Red with a victory over West Ottawa last Thursday night, Sept. 8.

The Rams jumped out quickly over the Panthers and finished with wins of 25-9, 25-15 and 25-12 in this best-of-three set match.

The Rams also played in the East Kentwood Classic on Saturday, Sept. 10, finishing the day with a 3-2 record, losing to South Christian in the quarterfinals of the gold bracket.

Next action for the Rams includes home contests this Thursday night, Sept. 15, against Muskegon and then again Saturday, Sept. 17, in the Rams’ own Rockford Invitational held at Rockford High School.
