RHS marching band places third at state finals

The Rockford High School (RHS) marching band competed in the MCBA state championship at Ford Field on November 5. The band placed third in Flight 1 competition for the third consecutive year, with an overall score of 87.59. Drum major Jacob Hewitt was awarded an MCBA scholarship at the event.

The band is performing at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Thursday, Nov. 10 in preliminary competition for the Bands of America Grand National Championship.
