Student bags 200 pound trophy buck Nov. 20

Josh Kleefisch, a sixth-grader at East Rockford Middle School, bagged a 200-pound, eight-point trophy buck on Sunday, Nov. 20. Hunting with his dad and grandfather, it was his first shot at a deer with his new 4.10 shotgun. The deer only traveled about 40 yards before Kleefisch spotted it lying between two logs in the woods. Kleefisch said, “I began to shake after I fired. When it walked in, all I saw was big horns and it was smelling the ground.”
