Among the treasures at the Rockford Hisotrical Society museum are this wicker baby buggy with parisol and pads. They were donated by Barbara Rice Zenk in memory of Mildred Wheeler Rice. Mildred was born in Boyne Falls, MI on July 23, 1905. She married Grant Rice and moved to Rockford in 1936 and died in 1981. Mildred and Grant had one daughter, Barbara. Mildred taught school at Brownell, Goff, Edgerton, Belmont and Cedar Springs Schools.
