Public invited to Plainfield Township Cemetery spring cleanup

On Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the public is invited to help with a very important event at the Plainfield Township Cemetery, in addition to providing needed help for a worthy cause, meet neighbors and others with the same attitude of willing helpfulness.

The Plainfield Township Cemetery Committee is holding the cleanup for the first time this year, but hopes to make it an annual event. They hope people will help clean up individual grave areas in honor of a loved one. Trash bags will be provided. Refreshments and snacks will be offered at the north end of the cemetery and there will be a bin where a can drive will take place. Can donations will go toward cemetery improvements. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

If weather is not favorable, the cleanup will be rescheduled for the next day, Sunday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
