Provided by a partnership between Our Lady of Consolation Parish and God’s Kitchen, a program of Catholic Charities West Michigan.

Rockford Area Historical Society Meeting—7 p.m. at Community Cabin, 220 N. Monroe St., Rockford. Emiel Kempf will present “50 Years of Rockford, Then and Now.” Hostesses will be Billie Hunt and Janette Konkle.

Saturday, May 5

Plainfield Township Cemetery Spring Cleanup—9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Belmont. If weather does not permit, cleanup will be Sunday, May 6, from noon to 5 p.m. Trash bags/bins will be provided. Refreshments and snacks will be provided at the north end of the cemetery. There will be a bin at the north end, collecting “cans.” Can donations go toward cemetery improvements. Car Wash—11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McDonald’s in Rockford, to benefit Odyssey of the Mind world finals.

Sunday, May 6

Pancake Breakfast—9 to 11:30 a.m. at Howard Christensen Nature Center, 16190 Red Pine Dr., Kent City. Enjoy buttered pancakes smothered in warm maple syrup, hot sausage, orange juice and coffee, to benefit the nature center.
