SCOR ’02 Black wins G.R. Crew Cup

The Soccer Club of Rockford (SCOR) ’02 Black team won their division (U11 2nd) at the Grand Rapids Crew Cup, held the weekend of April 13-15. The championship game, tied 1-1 at the end of the second half, ended in a nail-biting finish, going into two overtimes and a shootout to determine the winner. While the Muskegon Lakers proved to be a worthy opponent, Coach Pat Dalton’s girls triumphed, winning 3-2.

“It’s really remarkable when you consider that these girls are playing ‘up’ against girls at least a year older than them,” stated assistant coach, Emilee Long.
