The parents of Rachel Jeanne Den Besten of Rockford and Christopher Edgar Newell of Rockford are pleased to announce the engagement of their children. Christopher and Rachel began dating while in high school and since developed a beautiful and lasting five-year relationship.
Rachel is the daughter of Mary and Bruce Den Besten of Rockford. She graduated from Rockford High School and is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene at Ferris State University.
Christopher is the son of Michael and Dixie Newell, and Jeffery Coleman and Patricia King. Christopher is a graduate of Rockford High School and is currently in the process of completing a doctorate of pharmacy at Ferris State University.
Rachel and Christopher are planning a summer 2013 wedding.
