Katherine Sara Mathers and Paul Owen Velting

The parents of Katherine Sara Mathers of Morton, Illinois and Paul Owen Velting of Rockford are pleased to announce the engagement of their children.

Katherine is the daughter of Dr. L.E. Mathers III and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas A. Schaffnit of Morton. The bride-to-be graduated from Taylor University and is currently teaching in the Bloomington Public Schools.

Paul Is the son of Randy and Nancy Velting and is a graduate of Taylor University. The future groom is currently in the process of completing a doctorate of optometry at Indiana University.

Katie and Paul are planning a July wedding.
