Keith Dykstra catches nearly record-setting black crappies on Myers Lake on July 27. The larger one was one inch short of a master angler award from the state of Michigan, measuring 13 inches and another at 11 inches. The large fish was caught from a boat about noon on a spinner bait and the other on a shad. The fish were so big, that at first Dykstra thought they were bass.
