Lady Rams cross country wins Cougar-Falcon Invite

The Lady Rams got their first win of the season this past weekend when they beat the field at the Cougar-Falcon Invitational. The race featured a number of Personal Records in the winning effort. “We ran pretty well today and had 5 personal best,” stated Coach Watson.

The highest finisher for the day was Junior Lauren Brasure who ran a personal best of 18:56. Fellow Junior, Morgan Harney was the next finisher in a personal best time of 19:10. The next Ram to cross the tap was freshman Morgan Benoit in a time of 19:17. The next four Rams were are sophomores with Natalie Napolillo racing a personal best of 19:35, Maegan Roach personal best of 19:45, Kerianne Schoff in 20:10 and Maja Hill in a personal best of 20:23. “The girls ran really well today and their times indicate that we are improving. We just need to keep that trend continuing for the next six weeks,” said Coach Watson.

The Junior Varsity race saw a number of personal best with sophomore Paige Parker placing the highest in a personal best of 20:22. In the Freshman race, Tiana Colovos won in a personal best of 20:42. “We really competed well from top to bottom today,” added

Coach Watson.
