Olthoff

Louis Olthoff, Jr., age 82 passed away October 12, 2012. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Louis, Sr. and Alice (Dros) Olthoff. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peg (Valerie McEwan); their children, Kathy and Gary Klungle, Gary and Kristie Olthoff; grandchildren, Katie Klungle and Pete Kuipers, David and Heather Klungle, Terry Olthoff; great grandchildren, Anna and Ella, one aunt, Katherine DeRuiter, one brother in law, John and Phyllis McEwan and many cousins.

Lou and Peg enjoyed being campground hosts at Crystal Lake Campground for 11 years together. Lou retired from Grand Rapids Auto Auction.

Funeral services were11:00 am Tuesday, October 16 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE with Elders Richard Shotwell and Ric Farmer from Northview Community of Christ officiating. To share a memory or sign the family’s online guest book please visit www.stegengafuneralchapel.com.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hospice of Michigan, Porter Hills and Lemmen Holton Cancer Center for their care and support. Contributions may be made in Lou’s name to Hospice of Michigan and Porter Hills Health and Rehab Center.
