Rockford Scout Elected to Lead Order of the Arrow Lodge

Brandon Sinclair was elected and installed as the first Lodge Chief of the newly formed Nataepu Shope lodge.  The election and ceremony were held in September at Camp Greilick in Traverse City.  As Chief, he will work to strengthen the new lodge and work to bring all members together in service to others.

The Order of the Arrow is the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America.  Boy Scouts who meets certain criteria and live by the Scout Oath and Law on a daily basis are eligible to be elected by their local troop into the Order of the Arrow.

A recent merger of two lodges in West Michigan, Indian Drum (Scenic Trails Council, Traverse City area) and Nacha Tindey (Gerald R. Ford Council, Grand Rapids area) resulted in the creation of this new lodge.  Total membership is comprised of more than 1700 youth and adults.

Brandon is a senior at Rockford High School and the son of Clyde and Debbie Sinclair.  He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 228, chartered by Bostwick Lake Congregational Church.  He is also a member of Ashley Baptist Church in Belding.
