Evelyn Okonoski, age 3, donated over 8 inches of hair to Beautiful Lengths. Her hair was cut by Sarah Fikkert at Bangz Hair Salon in downtown Rockford. Evy was very excited to have her first real haircut on October 16. “Since she just turned 3 in July, I don’t think she understands exactly what her hair will be used for,” said mom Holly “But she was happy to give it and we really hope her hair will bring some happiness to another child some where that needs it.”
Beautiful Lengths is a partnership
between Pantene and the American Cancer Society, the largest non-profit health organization committed to saving lives from every cancer and improving the quality of life for people facing the disease. So far, Pantene has donated 24,000 free real-hair wigs to the American Cancer Society’s wig banks, which distribute wigs to cancer patients across the country.
